Key Features
Product Ref: 75879
The Manley Slam Stereo Limiter and Mic Preamp features two channels equipped with tube microphone preamplifiers with switchable phantom power and phase reverse. The tube circuit used in the Slam also allows up to 60dB of gain, with a further 20dB available in the limiter, ideal for use with low output microphones. The Slam also features two different and distinct limiters which can be used simultaneously or separately on each channel.
The Slam allows you to meter raw input levels, ELOP limiter gain reduction, and final output levels with the dual, backlit VU meters. The VUs also utilise switchable pads at 0, -3dB and -6dB so that you can prevent clipping whilst mastering your audio. For even more visual feedback, the Slam features LED ladder peak meters so that you can monitor FET gain reductions, input levels, and output levels. The LED meters do Peak, Peak Hold timed, and Peak Hold until reset.
The Manley Slam Stereo Limiter and Mic Preamp also integrates the electro-optical circuit, found on the Manley ELOP. This features a convenient sidechain high-pass filter. The ELOP is equipped with 2 simple rotary controls to provide easy access to the control you need. The on-board FET-based brickwall limiter allows you to use both limiters at the same time to get as much of each effect as you like.
