We are a York-based Company with a unique growth story. Founded originally in 1995 by CEO Andrew Wass who was a sound recording engineer, he identified an opportunity to supply personal computer based digital recording solutions to recording studios and schools. Gear4music was officially launched in 2003 as an online retailer of musical products & equipment and has consistently grown year-on-year; becoming an AIM listed Company in 2015, expanding the York Headquarters, and building international distribution centres strategically positioned for long-term success.
We are not corporate by nature, and we don’t want to be. We pride ourselves on the positive working relationships, interaction and communication across all departments and levels.
