Squier by Fender was established in 1983 and became the first 'officially authorised' company to replicate Fender's classic designs - in particular the Squier Stratocaster and Squier Telecaster.

Squier electric guitars also include the Jaguar, Jazzmaster and the short scale Mustang models. The current Squier guitar catalogue features the Affinity, Bullet, Classic Vibe and Standard series as well as signature models from the likes of John 5 and Simon Neil (Biffy Clyro).
