The brilliant TD-17 Module has a user-friendly interface with 70 preset kits each with the ability to be customized to suit your preferences. Each preset kit is customizable with a variety of effects such as reverb and certain room ambience for an even more natural sound. The module also includes Bluetooth capabilities, allowing you to connect any smartphone, tablet or laptop to it to play along to your favourite tunes or backing track. With additional inputs for kit expansion and built-in effects, the TD-17 module has everything for the modern drummer.

Dual Mesh PDX-12 Snare Pad

Authenticity has never been closer than Roland's dual mesh PDX-12 Snare Pad. It features two trigger points that can be programmed to deliver different sounds and are sound-sensitive allowing you to perform ghost notes and rolls just as you would on an acoustic kit. Thanks to its larger 12'' diameter, playability is made easy and there is plenty of room to perform your grooves and fills. The dual-ply mesh offers a natural rebound and feel, making every stroke punchy and powerful. The snare pad also has full tension adjustability, that of an acoustic snare drum; this allows you to customize the amount of rebound you have as well as dynamic sensitivity to suit your playing style.

A modern mesh mentality

The innovative PDX mesh heads provide natural responses and rebound no matter the playing style. They feature dual trigger zones, one on the mesh and one on the rim allowing for tight rim shots and pronounced accents. Each pad has tension-adjustable heads to alter the sensitivity as well as the rebound feel. They also feature rubber hoops which are a recognisable height to that of an acoustic kit allowing for uncompromising rim shots. Securely tightened to the MDS-Compact stand, the pads stay firmly in place and are fully adjustable to be in the best position for you.

The kit comes with two extra trigger pad inputs for adding on either more cymbal pads or mesh pads should you wish. The innovative Roland Cloud system allows you to expand even your drum sounds from samples to artist kits making your TD-17KVX2 extremely unique and personal to you. Additionally, the innovative TD-17-V2 module features an SD card input allowing you to import your own sounds and samples to then assign to any trigger pad of your choosing. Streamline your studio time

Recording acoustic drums can be quite time-consuming and expensive. Luckily, the Roland TD-17KVX2 allows you to record directly to any DAW or music software via USB input. Simply plug this into your laptop or PC and record real-time drumming straight onto a track. You can also record straight onto a Midi track via the same USB connection or via the dedicated Midi inputs on the module. This is particularly ideal for post-recording editing and adjustments that may need to be made.

Hone your groove

With Time Check, you can develop your drumming accuracy when playing to a click track. After playing, accurate strikes are shown in a percentage value on the module, from this you can see if your strikes were behind, on or ahead of the beat. For fast-paced drummers, this tool is exceptionally handy and improvements will shine through in an instant. The module also includes a Quiet Count mode. As you play, the click track drops in and out every few measures. During the silenced sections, you must rely on your own internal time-keeping to maintain the tempo. Your "inner-metronome" will significantly improve over time using this feature.
