Multi-purpose noise generation

Noise is a versatile element in sound design. It is ideal for fleshing out pads and leads to give them a sharper edge. But they can also be used as a sound source on their own. Noise sources work incredibly well when creating drum and other percussive sounds. The resonant VCF generates multi colours of noise. This can create dark tones, or high pitch resonant sweeps. The VCA and decay envelope generator can be combined to create an extensive range of percussion. This means you can easily create hi-hats, snares, kicks, and even sine tones when the resonance is turned all the way up.
