The Mesa Boogie Express 5:50+ Combo is a compact twin-channel guitar amplifier featuring the legendary versatility and rugged build quality of Mesa Boogie. Each channel features two voicing options, giving you the full spectrum of overdriven sounds from crystal clean to biting edge-of-breakup, onto full-on saturation for rich-sounding solos. A 5/25/50-watt switch (per channel) also allows you to craft the perfect level of headroom and power amp breakup, whether you require a low-watt sound for early onset overdrive with rich harmonics, or a high-watt output with a huge headroom for lush, clean tones. The iconic Boogie 5-band graphic EQ provides additional tonal sculpting options, alongside a separate preset curve for enhanced low and top-end. A tube-driven reverb and buffered FX loop allows you to integrate your own pedals and create a nuanced ambience to drench your tone with. The amp is packaged in a marine-grade Baltic birch cabinet with a range of protective features, while the tone is projected with a versatile Celestion Custom 90 speaker. Dual Channel Versatility

The Express 5:50+ features two channels with independent EQ and gain settings, letting you craft separate tones to switch to in an instant via the included remote footswitch. Channel 1 features Clean and Crunch voices, perfect for either crystal clean sounds or edge-of-breakup tones for blues playing and biting rhythms. Channel 2 takes the drive up a level with its Blues and Burn voices - ideal for saturated leads and articulate riffing. Blues mode is a particularly versatile voice that can be setup as a secondary 'clean' channel, letting you use a boost pedal to push the amp into increased saturation.

Multi-Watt Output Levels

Each channel features a 5/25/50-watt switch, letting you dial in the perfect level of power amp breakup and headroom. 5 watts provides a single 6L6 power valve for true class-A, single-ended tone with beautiful harmonics and bloom. 25 watts features an additional 6L6 valve, using class-A, push-pull operation. 50 watts opens the full range of the 6L6 power amp for a rich A/B tone with an incredibly musical response with greater headroom. 50 watts is a powerful level and enough to cover almost any gig and rehearsal situation.

Graphic EQ

The classic Mesa Boogie 5-band graphic EQ provides extensive tonal sculpting, assignable to each channel or remotely controlled via the footswitch. The EQ also features a 'preset' mode, where a built-in curve gives you enhanced top and low-end for a richer sound - independently assignable per channel.

Reverb, FX Loop, Boost

A tube-driven reverb gives your sound a lush ambience, while the buffered FX loop allows you to integrate your pedals with a clear signal. An additional Solo boost volume is perfect for important solo moments. The included remote footswitch lets you access multiple switchable functions on the fly - perfect for gigging players.

Rugged Build

A marine-grade Baltic birch cab finished with rugged tolex and corner protectors makes the Express 5:50+ able to withstand a life of gigging and touring. The single Celestion Custom 90 speaker projects your tone with an assertive tone, making this portable combo ideal for busy, gigging players who need to be able to play any gig at any volume level.

For the majority of players, the smaller 5:25 sister model will be a consideration and that amp delivers a whole lotta grin for the money. But the 5:50 gives you all that and more, and if high levels of amp gain are a major part of your sound, then the additional punch of the 5:50 makes it the logical choice. It's never not going to be enough amp, that's for sure."
