The Les Paul Express guitar comes equipped with a pair of Epiphone Open Coil Humbuckers, which include a 700T at the bridge and a 650R at the neck position. This duo of Alnico pickups provides your model with excellent versatility that allows you to not only experiment with a wide variety of genres, but also lets you try and discover your own unique style. The open coil Humbuckers also deliver warm and vintage tones that are help make the Les Paul Express extremely responsive to these voicings.
This model's body has been crafted from mahogany, which gives the Les Paul Express a warm and resonant tone with great sustain, as well as plenty of depth. This material delivers good levels of grind and bite, perfect for styles such as punchy rock music. The body also provides durability, and a tone that will mature over the years for a long-lasting investment.
The Express's neck is Okoume, which offers brighter and lighter tones than the mahogany of the classic Les Paul's. Its neck has a tapered heel that allows easy access to the higher frets for added comfort. It also means you can add a high-end sparkle to your solos. The bolt-on neck provides more bite and grind, as well as plenty of snappy tones. It has then been coupled with a pau ferro fingerboard, ideal for creating articulate tones that are soft yet punchy.
