Fat '50s vibes

Complete tonal accuracy. These are some special pickups, hand-wound by Josefina Campos, the apprentice of legendary Fender tone shaper Abigail Ybarra. Using techniques passed down from Leo Fender himself, the Fat '50s match the sparkling character and glassy response of those early pickups, with a resounding low-end, thick, punchy mids, and gleaming, airy highs.

Boasting highly articulate dynamics and a true vintage vibe, the hand-wound Fat '50s have a lineage stretching back to the founder himself and are a completely perfect fit for the '59 Journeyman Strat.

Supreme attention to detail - down to the last screw! The '59 Journeyman Strat has been intricately aged by the Custom Shop to resemble an instrument that's been played (and loved!) for decades. Every component is meticulously treated to mimic the natural worn-in look and feel of a veteran guitar, where the neck is discoloured after countless riffs and the nitro lacquer has altered in hue over the years.
