Studio-grade preamp
At the heart of the ConVertor is the studio-grade preamp with a tremendous level of functionality and clarity. Capable of receiving balanced and unbalanced audio signals at line level and electronic instrument-level through the Hi-Z input, the ConVertor E1 is unrivaled at the level of flexibility for Eurorack modules. A unique +50dB gain range accommodates all audio sources with a built-in limiter to protect from overloading and clipping and auto-gain function to keep your input signal consistent and even. A three-stage high-pass filter lets you cut out the low frequencies that you don't need to keep your signal clean and free from rumble before patching into the rest of your Eurorack.
There is also an incredibly handy built-in compressor with two modes. In ACO mode, the compressor/expander will affect only the envelope output and will be audible through the oscillator output, while in VCO mode, the analog compressor affects both the envelope and preamp outputs.
Accurate pitch tracking
The extremely accurate and efficient pitch-tracking system allows the internal oscillator to be pitch-shifted, as well as the CV output with both the FM input (at 1V/Oct) as well the encoders. The onboard encoder allows you to pitch shift +/- 24 semitones with a quick reset button if you press the encoder down. Now so accurate in detection and efficiency, there is no filter needed in the ConVerter E1. Featuring an FM input with its own quantizer and attenuverter, you can modulate in musical scales to widen your sound and add depth and movement.
MIDIVertor
Expand your ConVertor E1
The MIDIVertor E1 works in tandem with your ConVertor to expand on the possibilities and add extra functionality. Featuring the ability to translate the ConVertor E1's pitch, envelope and gate and adding in MIDI outputs to your signal chain, you can chain together up to six ConVertors for remote preset switching, arpeggio, note sustain and polyphonic functionality. An excellent addition to your arsenal for live performances, with the MIDIVertor you can save and recall presets, giving you consistent sound every time you play, without the need to start from the ground up saving time in high-stress live situations.
Open source flexibility
Explore a new world of possibility with the MIDIVertor E1. The open-source code allows DIY programmers to create their own custom firmware for any features you require that are not currently capable on the device. Also its device mini USB connection can help with preset management and firmware updates remotely to one or more ConVertor E1's at once saving time with polyphonic group updates.
