There are 8 XLR inputs available on the front panel of the MS8000 for mics and direct injection boxes as well as a lift/ground switch to cancel humming noise caused from ground loops. With each channel featuring both an XLR Direct Out connector and XLR Link Out connector, the Ultralink is ideal for both live and studio settings.
The special input link functionality on the microphone splitter lets users connect 2 adjoining channels to double the output capabilities of regular input signals. This feature lets users connect a source to channel 1 and send those signals from both channel 1 and 2 outputs simultaneously. Furthermore, these 2 adjacent channels can be merged into 1 output, making the MS8000 a passive mixer ideal for managing multiple playback devices.
