Erica Synths are renowned for creating high-end, premium quality equipment and gear. The Black Series of modules is no exception. Crafted from only the highest quality components, Erica's Black modules ensure pristine signal flow and excellent product life and durability, whilst all of the inputs and outputs are protected against overvoltage. The Black Series puts astounding design, innovation, and usability above the often limited capabilities of creating compact, narrow modules, resulting in a slightly larger module, but one that is filled to the brim with intelligent and exciting features and functions. The Black Series is the perfect choice for anyone who desires a powerful, versatile, and incredibly reliable modular system.
The Erica Synths Black Quad VCA features jumpers on the module's PCB. These can be used to configure the Quad VCAs CV addressing. CV1 is always independent and normalled to the GND, but CV2 to CV4 are all configurable. If the jumper is on the left side, it means that the CV input is normalled to the GND, making that CV input independent. If the jumper is on the right side, then the CV input switching lug is normalled to the next CV input to its right hand side. If no patch cable is plugged into the relevant CV input with this configuration, then it will follow the CV signals from the CV input on its left. This allows you to use the single CV signal plugged in CV1 to control all four CV inputs simultaneously. You can also configure CV inputs for stereo applications. When CV2 is normalled to CV1, CV3 is independent and CV4 is normalled to CV3.
