The Oxygen MKV series is the latest in portable MIDI controller design. M-Audio continues to be the leader in this field by developing intuitive controllers for your digital music production to create your signature sound. Offering a more deep software integration, the Oxygen MKV enables you to create cutting-edge music on stage or in the studio with ease.

Professional producer features

The M-Audio Oxygen 49 MKV controller includes essential and powerful features to help you produce music seamlessly with hassle-free DAW integration. With an array of assignable pads, knobs and nine faders, the Oxygen 49 MKV gives you complete control over your software, allowing you to remain creative without the boundary of time-consuming tedious mouse clicking.

Build the foundation of your production with the full velocity-sensitive 49 key keyboard and eight trigger pads. Create emotive melodic phrases, bass lines or chords with your keyboard and trigger drum or percussion samples with the eight finger pads. Eight assignable control knobs can be used to adjust the parameters of your plugins and virtual instruments for expressive performance composition on the fly. The nine assignable faders can be used to mix your instrument volume or virtual instrument parameter to get the balance right or even your master output volume. Octave transpose buttons allow you to find the right range for your melody without needing to re-write your parts.

Smart controls

The Oxygen 49 MKV includes Smart Chord and Smart Scale technology. Never let creative boundaries get in the way of your productivity and final production. The Smart Chord feature plays full chords with a single key press, allowing you to realise ideas quicker to stay in your creative flow. The Smart Scale function plays the exact notes within your chosen scale, eliminating any wrong notes outside of the scale. You can therefore quickly play through scales to pick your chord progressions to ensure that you're always in key. Both Smart Control features provide a custom mode with over 15 different scale variations. You will never get stuck on your note choice again thanks to the Smart Controls.

Auto-mapping for creative DAW control

Controlling any DAW has never been easier than with the Oxygen 49 MKV. Controls such as Transport, Fader, Pan, Solo, Mute and many more are automatically mapped to most DAW's, enabling you to immediately control your project with a fluid workflow. No longer will you need to reach for a mouse when using the Oxygen 49 MKV. Working with most major DAW's including; Ableton, Pro Tools, MPC Beats, Cubase, Logic, Studio One and many more, a new world of control is at your fingertips.

As well as this, the Oxygen 49 MKV keyboard includes customisable presets for your virtual instruments and plugins, meaning you can create, mix and bring your music production to the next level.

Built-in arpeggiator

Further creative tools come in the form of the built-in arpeggiator. Arpeggiators add movement and melody to your music quickly and easily. Any virtual instrument you are controlling with the Oxygen 49 MKV will be affected by the arpeggiator, offering a new world of options. When the arpeggiator is activated, the keyboard will repeatedly play the keys that are pressed in the selected sequence of your choosing. Customise the timing and rhythm in your keyboard settings or your DAW for precise control to ensure your arpeggiator never misses a beat. Operating in both latching and momentary mode, the arpeggiator further utilises creative parameters such as octave, type and swing to fine-tune your melodies and their groove to your music.
