Adjust the stereo field with rotatable capsules

The WA-CX24 includes two capsules that each rotate up to 180 degrees, giving you full control over stereo placement and imaging. This flexibility lets you position the mic capsules for various stereo techniques such as XY, mid-side or Blumlein with exacting accuracy.

You can tailor the stereo width to suit your recording space or performance style without moving the entire mic setup. This feature is especially valuable in situations like drum overheads, piano recordings or string ensembles where exact mic angles make a big difference to spatial depth and balance. The ability to rotate the capsules independently means you can fine-tune your stereo image while keeping the mic in a fixed position, improving workflow and consistency.

Switchable polar patterns for each capsule

Each capsule on the WA-CX24 has its own polar pattern selector, giving access to cardioid, omnidirectional, figure-8 and six additional mixed pattern combinations.
