TJ5X flutes are based on the award-winning TJ10Xs with beginners in mind. The lip plate is slightly raised in the centre to provide a free-blowing and accurate response, making it easier to produce a sound. Offset G keys and a split E mechanism aid in intuitive playing by allowing a relaxed hand position and faster fingering respectively. The nickel silver body generates a bright yet powerful sound.
Nickel silver is durable and can stand the rigours of being transported to and from practise with less wear than other student flutes. In combination with the silver plating, it is resistant to corrosion and other moisture-related issues. An airtight seal is provided by the high quality pads, which also aid in accurate tuning and intonation. The keys are secure and precise, designed to continure being so. You also have the peace of mind given by the included case and cover.
Dedication to quality ensures that every instrument from Trevor James is finished to a high standard. The embouchure hole is over-cut and under-cut by hand to provide optimal performance with every Virtuoso flute. This prevents any rough edges or irregular shapes that can come from machine cutting. Each flute is then setup in the UK by one of Trevor James' technical experts. This attention to detail means that you can be confident that your new instrument will play to its full potential.
